SportMaster Angello Luke Perera, a grade 4 student of St. Benedict’s College won 6 Gold Medals and the Championship Trophy in the boys under 10, 25m Back stroke, Butterfly stroke, free style and also 50m Breast stroke, Butterfly stroke and free style, at the All Island Inter School Beginners Swimming Championship 2011 held last month at the Thurstan College Swimming Pool. He also won Gold Medals in the boys under 10, 50m Butterfly stroke and Back stroke at the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union All Island Novices Aquatic Championship 2011 held last month at the Ananda College Swimming Pool.

Master Peter Charles Fernando, a grade 4 student of St. Benedict’s College also performed creditably well to win third place at the “SESCA” Trophy open water 2km Sea Swim held last month, at the Ambalangoda Beach, South of Sri Lanka.
