Three Benedictine Athletes selected for South Asian Junior Athletics Championships in Colombo
Three Benedictine Athletes will represent Sri Lanka at the forthcoming South Asian Junior Athletics Championships (SAJAC) to be held at the newly laid track of the Sugathadasa Stadium on 5th and 6th May 2018.

They are Pragathi Prasanna Ranawaka who won the Gold medal in the Javelin Throw (Under 20), with a magnificent throw of 64.25 meters which was just centimeters away from the existing record at Junior National Athletic Championships, held last week in Colombo.
He is joined by Sprinter Yohan Dhanushka Silva in 4 x 100 meters Relay event and Ravishka Indrajith in the 4 x 400 meters Relay event.

At the Junior Nationals, Benedictine Dilshan Sadeepa won the Best Performance Award for Boys Under 18 for his brilliant win in 100 meters Hurdles (Under 18) with a timing of 14.61 seconds.
The SAJAC is for Under 20 athletes.
