16th Annual “Benedictine Nite” - Canada by Mike Alvis
SBC Alumni, Canada16TH Annual “Benedictine Nite”
ST. BENEDICT’S COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (CANADA)

The evening provided a perfect opportunity to renew old acquaintance and make new contacts among friends of our old school.

The theme for this year’s most looked-forward event was “towards a more Enterprising Alumni Association”. The fundraising assists the Association to maintain its margin of excellence. It provides a major source of funds for scholarships and enables to extend support to College
where need is the greatest or where special opportunities arise. Since needs differ over time, the annual dance provides an invaluable opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to our Alma Mater.

The Gala Dinner Dance once again proved to be the Weekend’s centerpiece. The “Naked Flame” Band was outstanding and the recorded digital sound by Vasantha Fernando provided the music throughout the evening and ended at 1:30 in the morning after hours of enthusiastic dancing.

Among those in attendance at this extravagant event were Ben’s stalwarts, Gaston Rajakurana and his wife, Shirley, from Calgary and Dennis Ramenaden and his wife, Cecilia, from New York.

Congratulations are in order to the Dance Committee for a job well done. Everyone had an excellent time. We hope to see you at the next one.

Finally, we are extremely grateful for the generosity of all our donors and patrons.
