Sacerdotal Ordination of the Archdiocese of Colombo
OBU, ColomboOld Benedictine Rev. Bro. Nicholas Prasanka Rodrigo will be among the fourteen Deacons who will be ordained on Saturday, April 9 at 9.00am at St. Lucia’s Cathedral, Kotahena by the Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith.

Rev. Bro. Nicholas Prasanka Rodrigo - Is the son Mr. Bastian Koralage Nelson Rodrigo and Mrs. Bernadette Rodrigo from the Parish of Pamunugama. Born on October 26, 1984 he had his primary education at Gonsalvez College, Pamunugama and secondary education at St. Benedict’s College, Kotahena. He joined St. Aloysius Minor Seminary, Borella in 2005. After his studies at the National Seminary, Kandy he went for further studies to France. He served as deacon in the parishes of Battaramulla and Tillanduwa.

He will celebrate his first Holy Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, Pamunugama at 7.30 am on Sunday, April 10.
