Obituary - Old Benedictine Francis (Frank) Fernando (10th October 1926- 18th February 2015 )
ObituaryIt is with profound sadness we inform the passing away of Loyal Old Benedictine Francis Fernando at the age of 88.

Late Francis Fernando was a past soccer player who captained the college team in the 40's. He was also a past teacher for over a decade.

He was a brilliant student in college with par excellence and later graduated as a Bachelor of Commerce in the University of Peradeniya. There after he came back to the college and joined the tutorial staff where he served from 1953 to 1965. Later he opted to move to Brunei with his entire family where he had a successful long career in his profession until his retirement.

OBITUARY NOTICE AS FOLLOWS:

FERNANDO - FRANCIS (FRANK) (Former Teacher of St. Benedictís College, Colombo and St. Anthonyís College, Brunei Darussalam) at rest with Jesus. Son of the late Anthony Joseph and Anna Fernando, beloved husband of Therese Josaphat, loving father of Vyjanthi, Gerard, Agatha and Annabel, father-in-law of Ranjith, Charu, Rohan and Desmond, grandfather of Divina, Natashcha, Shari, Fiona, Natalie, Benjamin, Christopher and Evangeline, brother of the late Lily, the late Mabel, the late Cyril, the late Marcus, Mary, late Peter, late Paul, Joseph, Flory and Benedict. Cortege leaves residence 26 A, Church Road, Nayakakanda at 3.30 p.m. on 20th February 2015 for burial at Nayakakanda Cemetery.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
