Funeral Arrangements of late Old Ben Bosco Fonseka
ObituaryThe funeral of late Old Ben Bosco Fonseka will take place tomorrow, Thursday 25th April 2013 at 4.00 p.m.

Cortege leaves residence No 291/3, Stanly Thilakarathne Mawatha, Nugegoda. (Jubilee Post junction), for Burial at St. Thomas Church burial grounds, Kotte.

Dear Bosco was more than just a singer & musician. He did have a high musical pedigree since his father Bonnie Fonseka, was a former & famous music teacher in College, but Bosco himself was an outstanding & proud product of St Benedict's with a brilliant academic record that enabled him to enter University from the science stream and obtain a degree from the Colombo campus.

Bosco also served in the OBU Council and his contribution towards the development of the College is commendable. He sang with the College choir and then teamed up with his buddy Denzil to perform as a popular singing duo in the style of the Everly Brothers and they performed with distinction at "Our Own Show" organized by Rev. Bro. Edward during the lunch break at the College hall. He was therefore, more than just an ordinary student and was a founder member of the Choro Benedicte and was the choral director of the Saints and a member of LG Singers at the time of his untimely demise.

Bens young and Old, it would be most appropriate that we all rally together to bid a tearful farewell to our dear Old Ben Bosco who has always been so loyal to our Alma Mater and supported the college in many ways.

As a mark of respect, I kindly request all old boys to attend the funeral, dressed in College / OBU Tie.
